Marion Walz, MA
Marion Walz is an independent organisational development consultant/ facilitator, coach and business trainer.
She helps organisations with customised change and organisational development projects, using systemic approaches and focusing on people’s resources and sustainable results. She also works with individuals as an executive, life and career coach, and as a trainer she is specialised in communication, sales, leadership, negotiation and related topics.
Marion has spent 15 years in international sales, business development, consulting, key account, project, team and general management roles in organisations of various sizes, cultures and industries. Her Business and Economics degree combined with her professional background allow her to relate well to executives and gain a quick insight into the specific industry dynamics.
She started her career with UBS Investment Bank in the equity and equity derivatives business, specialised in Swiss stocks of all prevalent industries and was in charge of large institutional clients in the UK. After seven years, a desire for a new challenge led her to leave banking and co-found a non-profit association in Switzerland and Hungary. Later she joined an asset management firm and was responsible for sales and marketing, before moving to Munich, Germany, to join a strategy consulting firm, which represented a completely new professional experience. As Head General Manager & Business Development Europe she then worked for a company based in Mumbai, India, in the field of online marketing and communication. She lived half a year in India and subsequently opened a subsidiary in Switzerland.
Throughout all of these experiences she learned a lot about the importance of so-called “soft skills” in business organisations and about the perils and costs associated with neglecting them, not only but even more so in multi-cultural organisations, and particularly in times of change.
Marion has a dual German and Swiss nationality and was raised and is currently living in Switzerland. In addition to her home country, she has lived and/ or worked in/ with Belgium, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom. She coaches in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swiss German.
