John Reed is a senior executive and certified executive coach with 30 years of corporate leadership, strategy consulting, executive coaching, executive assessment and organizational development experience globally in the energy, retail, biotechnology, entertainment, financial services, real estate, legal, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, health care, technology, chemical, utility, education, federal government, food and spirits and not-for-profit sectors.

After receiving an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, he worked as an executive for 12 years – the last 9 years for American Management Systems (now CGI) in Fairfax, Virginia as a Principal and Global Head of Sales and Marketing for a division of the firm. After additional graduate work, he then joined the Strategic Services practice of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a Senior Manager in Atlanta, Georgia before founding Quinn Reed Associates LLC.  

He started coaching in 1995 and is designated as a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation, as a Master Corporate Executive Coach by the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches and as a Master Executive Coach in Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching. He is a Founding Fellow and Contributing Author of The Institute of Coaching, McLean/Harvard Medical School.  He teaches as an adjunct professor in a number of strong MBA programs and contributes as a featured speaker and writer. His book Pinpointing Excellence, for example, is popular as a consumer guide for selecting top executive coaches.   

John helps successful people excel further, working with C-level executives, boards, high potentials, leadership teams, entrepreneurs and other accomplished professionals. His prior work at Shell has been in executive (e.g. MLLP) assessment.
