Gudrun Hiese is an executive coach with a strong background in international strategic HR, leadership development, executive search and recruitment, change management, business excellence and organizational transformation.

Gudrun is passionate about individual and organizational development, transformation and top quartile performance. In her coaching practice, she balances constructive challenge with deep listening, full focus and effective support – a combination that brings awareness, innovative thinking and action to the challenges faced by her clients.

With 30 years of international HR Management experience from large and mid-size corporations in a wide range of industries including Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemicals, Coatings, Packaging, Financial Services and Consulting. She has held global responsibility for sizeable international HR and transformation teams and she has partnered successfully with global business and functional leadership teams at the senior to top level, helping them engage with complex transformations and cultural change. She understands the dynamics of executive and non-executive boards from first-hand experience and she operates with presence and ease in the corporate and multicultural context. In her most recent corporate role, Gudrun was Director of Human Resources at Akzonobel where she was responsible for the Performance Coatings Division, comprising seven global business units with total revenues of around EURO 6.5 billion.

She has brought her expertise to a wide range of private and public sector organizations globally, including eon, Akzonobel, SIG Combibloc, FMO, Shell. Gudrun is on the faculty of RINO Amsterdam for their ICF-accredited Coaching Certification program.

Gudrun has lived, worked and studied in China, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Thailand, USA, Vietnam and in her native Germany. She is based in The Hague/Netherlands. She is fluent in English, Dutch and German.
